Alex Miller received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, summa cum laude, from St. Mary's University of San Antonio, Texas in 1990. He obtained his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree with honors from the University of Texas School of Law in 1994. Alex is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Civil Appellate Law. After graduating from law school, he joined the firm of Plunkett, Gibson & Allen, Inc. He later practiced with Allen, Stein & Durbin, P.C., where he focused on first-party insurance coverage and civil appellate law. Alex joined Mikal Watts at the San Antonio office of the predecessor firm of Watts Law Firm, L.L.P., in 2001. He provides appellate services to the firm's offices in San Antonio, Brownsville and McAllen. Alex has argued appeals before the Texas Supreme Court, the Fifth Circuit, the Federal Circuit and the Texas courts of appeals.

Sessions American Inn of Court, San Antonio Bar Association Court of Appeals Committee (Chair 2002-03), State Bar of Texas and Fifth Circuit Bar.
