A. Cliff Gordon was raised in Corpus Christi. Cliff earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from Yale College in 1989. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law Center in 1994. Mr. Gordon joined the firm of White, Huseman, Pletcher & Powers, where he practiced both plaintiff and defense work in the areas of appellate law, toxic torts, insurance, personal injury, and commercial litigation. Cliff is Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He has argued appeals before the two highest courts in Texas - the Texas Supreme Court and Court of Criminal Appeals - as well as the Fifth Circuit and the Texas courts of appeals.

Cliff joined Watts Law Firm, L.L.P.,in 2007. He is admitted to practice before the state courts in Texas, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyer’s Association (TTLA).
