Raised in the West Texas town of Abilene, Kevin W. Liles earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 1993 from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, majoring in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, business and marketing. In February 1997, Kevin received his law degree from Baylor Law School in Waco. While at Baylor, he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Baylor Law Review, was selected into the Order of the Barristers and competed successfully on Baylor's Moot Court team. While on the Baylor Law Review, Kevin authored and assisted in legal articles pertaining to various litigation and appellate issues. Following law school, he entered litigation as an associate with Fulbright & Jaworski, L.L.P., in Houston, Texas, representing both plaintiffs' and defendants' interests.

In 2001, Kevin became partners with Mikal Watts and turned his aggressive advocacy for his clients toward automotive product liability litigation. Since 2001, Kevin has served as lead trial counsel in multiple auto product liability and personal injury cases involving defective tires, airbags, vehicle rollovers, occupant restraints, fuel system integrity leading to post-collision fuel-fed fires, seat designs and seatbelt buckles. Those cases resulted in significant verdicts and settlements for his clients. His most notable trial efforts and verdicts include Rupp v. Sulzer Orthopedics, Inc., tried with Mikal Watts, and individually in Shirley Thomas v. Bourda Construction, Inc., yielding an award of actual and punitive damages. Kevin has successfully served as lead jury trial counsel in a variety of other significant cases, including the complex commercial case of Johnson Broadcasting, Inc. v. Conus Communications Company, the personal injury cases of Olvera v. Garcia and Tetra Applied Technology and Bell v. United Airlines, Inc. Kevin writes articles for presentation at continuing legal education seminars, the most recent being "Watts & Liles, Fire Protection in Frontal Impacts: Using Ford's Defense Against Them," presented at the AIEG Spring Seminar, Las Vegas, Nevada, March 24-27, 2004. Kevin is an "AV" rated lawyer in the Martindale-Hubbell legal directory. He continues to focus his practice on cases involving auto product liability, tractor-trailer collisions, complex commercial litigation, construction site and other premises liability, in addition to a variety of other personal injury litigation.

Kevin is licensed to practice law in the state courts of Texas and Arizona, the United States District Courts in the Southern, Western, Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States of America. He is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA), the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA), the Attorneys Information Exchange Group (AIEG), the Texas Bar Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association (TTLA), the Texas Young Lawyers Association (TYLA), the Corpus Christi Bar Association, Board of Directors 2004-2006, and the Corpus Christi Young Lawyers Association, serving as President in 2003-2004.
