Brian Berryman received his Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Management from Texas Tech University in 1985, which qualified him to become an associate Wildlife Biologist upon graduation. He is a 1989 graduate of St. Mary's University School of Law, where he was successful in mock trial and moot court competitions. After graduating from law school, Brian joined the firm of Plunkett, Gibson & Allen, where he practiced defense litigation for approximately seven years. He then joined the firm of Allen, Stein, Durbin & Hunnicutt, where he was made a partner in 1997. His litigation practice has covered a wide variety of areas, including general negligence, construction, environmental law, insurance litigation, business torts, commercial litigation, agriculture, real estate, firearm and product liability.
In 2001, Brian joined Watts Law Firm, L.L.P., with others to open its San Antonio office. Although most of their cases have involved defective products, commercial litigation has also been a point of special interest. Additionally, Brian has been involved in the marketing, promotion and development of the reputation of the Watts Law Firm, L.L.P., in San Antonio and the surrounding areas.
Brian has been a certified mediator since 1997. He is in his second three-year term as a member of the State Bar of Texas Grievance Committee for the San Antonio District. He is licensed to practice in all the state courts of Texas and the United States District Courts in the Western, Northern and Southern Districts of Texas. Mr. Berryman is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the San Antonio Bar Association, the Attorneys Information Exchange Group (AIEG) and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association (TTLA). His practice currently focuses on business torts, commercial litigation and product liability.
