Bob is a decorated Vietnam veteran. He earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Baylor University in 1976. In law school he was a member of the Baylor Mock Trial Team and Phi Alpha Delta. After graduating from law school he began his law career as a litigator. Hi past areas of practice include oil and gas, product liability, negligence and commercial litgation. Mr. Patterson joined Watts Law Firm as a partner in 2005. His practice focuses on product liability, personal injury, automobile design defects, and commercial litigation. Bob served as the Chairman of the Plaintiffs Liaison Committee in the Texas Consolidated Ford/Firestone litigation. He is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA), State Bar of Texas, Texas Trial Lawyers Association (TTLA), the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA), and the American Board of Trial Advocates (Director, 1988, 1992). Bob is licensed to practice law in the state courts of Texas, in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Western Districts of Texas, The U.S. Supreme Court, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit.
