Will Maiberger was born September 16, 1967 in the Bronx, New York. He moved to Plano, Texas with his family in 1978. Will received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin in 1989. He worked in accounting/financial analysis for ARCO Oil & Gas Company in Dallas for one year before enrolling in law school in 1990. Will received his law degree in 1993 from St. Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio. During law school, he participated in various moot court and mock trial competitions and worked as a law clerk for the firms of Thornton, Summers, Biechlin, Dunham & Brown, Inc., and Plunkett, Gibson & Allen, Inc., in San Antonio. After graduating from law school in the top 20% of his class, he joined the firm of Plunkett, Gibson & Allen, Inc., in San Antonio and later practiced with Allen, Stein & Durbin, P.C., in San Antonio, where he primarily focused on defending wrongful death and personal injury cases and also worked on insurance "bad faith" cases. During his time as a civil defense trial lawyer, he was involved in more than 25 trials, defending individuals and insurance companies.
Will joined the predecessor firm of Watts Law Firm, L.L.P,. in 2001. Since that time, he has practiced in the San Antonio office focusing on product liability, transportation and civil litigation. He was co-counsel with Mikal Watts in Castro v. Ford Motor Co., in which the jury rendered a significant verdict against Ford. Will is an "AV" rated lawyer in the Martindale-Hubbell legal directory. He is admitted to practice law in the state courts of Texas and Arizona and the United States District Courts of Texas for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts. Will is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA), the Attorneys Information Exchange Group (AIEG), the Texas Trial Lawyers Association (TTLA), the Texas Young Lawyers Association (TYLA), the San Antonio Trial Lawyers' Association (Director, 2003; Treasurer, 2004), the San Antonio Bar Association, the San Antonio Young Lawyers' Association and the San Antonio Bar Foundation.
